Gas RC cars and trucks have been around for awhile and the RTR(Ready-to-Run) models can reach top speeds of 50+Mph. Thats fast, plain and simple. Gas powered RC cars, trucks and boats have been around for awhile, but only recently gaining in popularity. I've had both electric models as well as gas powered. My preference are the RC cars that use gas, but to be fair there will be a brief discussion of the electric as well.

Gas RC cars are faster, are more authentic and provide you the thrill of the race that the electric-powered ones don't. These RC cars usually take a special nitro gas mixture though some use the same gas as you would put in a Ford or Toyota. These cars have a more realistic engine that can burn a special glow fuel. Gas powered RC cars on the other hand do require a bit more work and maintenance, but they can be a lot more fun as well.

Electric RC cars can come as pre-assembled toys or can be bought in kits. The one benefit of electric RC cars is that they can cost you so much less than Nitro models. Electric cars are powered by an electric motor and electrical batteries. Generally the nitro cars require a bit more maintenance compared to the electric cars, and therefore the electric are preferred by first timers in the hobby.

Remote Control cars happen to be a progressively well-liked sport especially pre-built for both gas or nitro powered Remote Control cars and electric RC cars. Owning gas RC cars is a progressively fashionable pastime specifically for the already made in both nitro or gasoline powered Remote Control cars and trucks and electric R.C. Why is that, you might ask? Because people who are generally working hard all week, don't have the time or desire to spend hours building and customizing them.
